π± PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN TO PLANT
β’ Spring after the last frost
β’ Early summer planting works well in cooler climates
β’ Late fall planting allows natural spring germination
WHERE TO PLANT
Choose a bright location with full sun or partial sun. Strong sunlight produces the most blooms and the highest pollinator activity.
HOW TO PLANT
Remove weeds and loosen the soil surface. Mix seeds with sand (2 parts sand : 1 part seed) to spread evenly. Broadcast across the soil surface and lightly press seeds into the soil. Do not bury deeply.
WATERING
Keep soil consistently moist for the first 4β6 weeks during germination. Once seedlings are established, watering can be reduced.
πΌ WHAT TO EXPECT
Annual flowers bloom quickly and provide the first season of color. Perennials focus on root development the first year and typically bloom more heavily beginning in year two. Wildflower gardens change from year to year β this natural variation is part of their beauty.
